Ivanka Trump, daughter of Donald and Ivana Trump, announced her engagement to New York Observer owner Jared Kushner in July this year. Showing her contemporary style, she broadcast the engagement via Twitter, saying in her feed "I got engaged last night - truly the happiest day of my life!!!". Although a very happy day, it can't have been much of a surprise as Ivanka later said she had left drawings of diamond engagement rings on her pillow and other hints to let him know what design engagement ring designs she liked. Good idea Ivanka!

The pair have been together two years and seem to be a good match. Ivanka was quoted as saying "Jared and I are very similar in that we're very ambitious". She is currently vice president of real estate development and acquisitions at the Trump Organization.
